Using closest match instead (Belgian keyboard layout) for scancode mapping. I looked in dlls/x11drv/keyboard.c and found that the "Belgian French" layout was exactly what should be used. My (105 keys) belgian keyboard has the pecularity that the "µ£`" is locate ON THE RIGHT of the RightShift key. Starting nay app results in fixme:keyboard:X11DRV_KEYBOARD_DetectLayout Your keyboard layout was not found! Using closest match instead (German keyboard layout without dead keys) for scancode mapping. If it matters: I have XFree 4.3.0, qt 3.1.2, kde 3.1.1, kernel 2.4.20. Maybe it is a XFree 4.3.0 issue? Older Wine together with Xfree 4.2.x worked fine. But I can not downgrade to find out, which of it causes the issue. From what I see in this log, it may well crash before doing any DirectX stuff. There was a recent thread about this on wine devel. http://www.winehq.com/hypermail/wine-devel/2002/12/0777.html There was a patch for WineX that I suppose should fix the problem. http://www.winehq.com/hypermail/wine-devel/2002/12/0807.html. X 4.3.0. Other programs run fine (acrobat,kazaa lite). Fake windows on ext3. Simcity installs fine (cd /mnt/cdrom, wine ./INSTALL/ENGLISH/SETUP.EXE). When I run it (cd <wine>/Program\ Files/Maxis/SimCity\ 3000/, wine ./Game/SC3.EXE) I get a loop with a load of enter/leave critical section plus a few get tick counts ad infinitum. So I will attach the last few hundred +relay +snoop before the loop, a +loaddll and some output from winedbg which seems to show a crash (why when it doesnt if I it run normally?) The systray bugs have, for the most part, been fixed since Andriy's post last year, as I can remember winamp opening its own systray at one time, but more recently it installs the icon nicely into kde's systray..
