In the register "Drives" the columns "Letter" and "Target folder" are cutting
the last letter and in the register "Applications" the entry "Default Settings"
does cut the last letter too in the german translation if this register is

In winecfg in the register "Drives" it is not possible to select drives on
columns other than "Letter". Maybe this could be enhanced so that clicking a
drive at any position in the row would select it.

If I'm minimizing the game and opening and closing winecfg the mouse gets stuck
in a small area in the upper left corner of the screen. Clicking with the mouse
solves this issue but the next time Guild Wars is maximized the mouse clicks
are always forwarded very close to the upper left corner of the screen while
hovering ingame elements doesn't trigger the related action.

This is a long standing bug mentioned on the appdb page that was apparently
never filed.
The voices not being played are overheard conversations and responses when they
have no conversation options. These voices provide atmosphere, clues, and help
locate npc's you're trying to avoid. All other sounds appear to play including
the voices in cut scenes.
Currently the only fix is to use the native dsound.dll from windows. However
this has the problem of noise in the audio which appears to be related to
environmental effects since the intensity changes depending upon which environ
you're currentyy in.

I have found that it prevents some applications from working correctly. For
example, the Unity3D app at <http://www.fantasystrike.com/game/index.php> while
running using the Pipelight plugin wrapper.
Using "TZ=America/New_York" the app run correctly.

Terminal output when X11 pointer hidden correctly
Nvidia drivers version 195.36.24
Xorg server version 1.7.7
Anarchy Online has its own mouse pointer and is supposed to hide the system's
mouse pointer.
Most of the time in Wine, the X11 pointer is hidden correctly, leaving only the
game's pointer visible. Sometimes, the X11 pointer remains visible, and stays
on top of the game's pointer.
When starting the first instance of the game, the X11 pointer is usually
hidden, but sometimes isn't. When starting consecutive instances of the game,
the X11 pointer is hidden about 50% of the time.
This seems to be different to similar bugs such as bug 20362 and bug 22711, in
which the X11 cursor stays in one place. In this case, the X11 cursor moves
with the game's cursor.
Terminal output in both cases appears to be the same, but I'll attach anyway in
cae I have missed something.

Terminal output when opening the settings window - wine-1.2-rc1
When using Nvidia TwinView and Anarchy Online, the screen resolution is changed
in at least two places where it shouldn't be.
The two places are:
1) When hitting the settings button in the launcher. This has options to set
the resolution and to change the display device, so presumably it is doing some
available resolution or device enumeration.
2) When launching the game itself, from the launcher.
My desktop resolution is 2560x1024, which is made up of two 1280x1024 screens,
using TwinView. The game is set to use 1280x1024 windowed mode, so shouldn't
be changing the resolution (especially when just opening the launcher settings
window in the launcher).
It isn't that the game is incorrectly using fullscreen mode - it correctly
launches in a 1280x1024 window (plus that wouldn't explain the launcher
settings window).

game starts with a launcher which allows the player to choose between the base
game and the expansion.
The launcher doesn't start when Mono 4.5.4 installed, it simply quits without
an error message or anything suspicious in the terminal. Here I'm attaching a

'winetricks dotnet20' is sufficient to make the launcher work correctly.

Summary: Hearthstone fails to start, says the game timed out
Product: Wine
Version: 1.7.17
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Reporter: adys.wh(a)gmail.com
(not related to bug 36178)
The game is started from the Battle.net client, gets to the login screen. Then
the game says:
Closed
Your game timed out as it was requesting data from the Hearthstone utility
service. Please relaunch Hearthstone to reconnect.
This error sometimes happened before, but now it's impossible to get into the
game. Looking at some wireshark logs, theres a lot of crypted communication on
port 1119 between hearthstone and the battle.net agent, then it stops for a few
seconds and the game says it timed out.

Bug #: 34144
Summary: Guild Wars 2: Crash if minimized
Product: Wine
Version: 1.6
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown

ReportedBy: sworddragon2(a)aol.com
Classification: Unclassified

Console output
Since a few months I'm noticing that the game will crash (asking me to send a
report to ArenaNet) after a while if I have minimized it (minimizing with
Openbox's Iconify). This happens randomly after ~5-30 minutes. I have tried to
find a reason for this but I'm not sure with my assumption: It seems the crash
randomly appears if a map changes because it appeared on my system more
frequently on fast changing maps.

Evernote installer in Wine
The Evernote 4.5.10 installer has a small problem.
- Download and run the Evernote 4.5.10 installer.
- Click "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" then click Advanced.
- Two options should be shown, with radio buttons to select which you want. In
Wine however the radio buttons are missing and there's no indication which is
selected.

Bug #: 32153
Summary: Guild Wars 2: Input gets stuck
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.16
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: sworddragon2(a)aol.com
Classification: Unclassified
I'm using Openbox 3.5.0 and if the game is in the loading screen I'm minimizing
it sometimes with Iconify. But after recovering the window often the input gets
stuck. This means on clicking something with the mouse nothing happens.
Sometimes if this happens on clicking the left mouse button the sound will be
disabled. On making a left mouse click again the sound will be enabled and all
is working fine.

If I'm minimizing Guild Wars 2 I'm seeing the desktop for ~1 second and then
the games recovers itself. The minimizing is done with the Iconify command from
Openbox 3.5.2. But other games like Guild Wars 1, Diablo 3 and Warcraft 3 are
working fine.

but could continue to play the game. I have attached my output as follows and
hope you find it useful. I had to set the "winecfg" to Windows 95.

Summary: Planetside 2: Mouse Jittering

Logfile Wine-Output
Hey folks,
We'v encountered a weird bug in Planetside 2, it's like the mouse is jumping or
not responding at all when aiming in the free world.
If you go on foot, or sits behind a turret you can turn your mouse but it looks
and feels like the mouse is one step behind and starts to jitter around, which
makes aiming almost impossible.
The curious part is that it doesn't happen in the menus, or if you'r in a
vehicle. Can't describe it better.
What we have done so far:
- Using a native imm32.dll to enable ingame menus
- d3dx9_43 (via Winetricks)
- d3dcompiler_43 (via Winetricks)
tested myself with native dinput.dll and dinput8.dll and turning off
mouse-acceleration.
Using wine-1.5.23 non-patched on Ubuntu 12.10 64bit
Game Homepage: planetside2.com
Hope I have mentioned everything, log is attached - sry it's the first time I
post a bugreport myself

I would suggest adding a method for maintainers to edit any preexisting image
(to focus on only application window, hide personal information in games, etc),
show
who originally uploaded the image and a text summary of what happened in later
revisions, and add the ability to include an image description.

log from console
DX-Ball (free to download, link in URL) crashes every time at startup if it's
run under Wine compiled under an x86-64 system. Tried with Ubuntu 9.10 amd64
with official Ubuntu Wine packages. I can also reproduce the same issue if I
compile Wine under i386 with gcc flags -msse -msse2 -mfpmath=sse - they're
default for x86-64 and probably that's the problem. Log attached.

Bug #: 32859
Summary: Mathematica 8 occasionally crashes on startup
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.22
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: winex11.drv
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

Classification: Unclassified

Backtrace
Start Mathematica. If it doesn't crash, try close it and start again, if still
not, try other tty or try first wineserver -k or launch with a different
LC_ALL... I couldn't find any reliable way to reproduce the bug, it happens in
~10% cases, and it *seems* manipulations above somewhat improve
reproducibility.

Text in the menus is too bright/blurred.
There are visual glitches in the game as well, as you can see in the attached
screenshot.
These messages are filling the terminal as soon as the problem appears:

>err:d3d_surface:wined3d_volume_upload_data >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_VALUE (0x501) from glTexSubImage3D @ volume.c / 114
I see the same messages in a couple of other games as well (Metro: Last Light,
Burnout Paradise, XCOM:Enemy Unknown).

but I get the following errors…
socket.c: In function ‘debugstr_sockopt’:
socket.c:368: error: ‘WS_IPX_PTYPE’ undeclared (first use in this function)
socket.c:368: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once

The attached patch fixed my issue… by adding an #ifdef HAS_IPX tag

DraftSight 2015 SP1 on Wine 1.7.38 on Xubuntu 14.04.2 x86_64. Tested on
multiple systems. Uses Qt 5.
32-bit download in URL field. 64-bit download:
http://dl-ak.solidworks.com/nonsecure/draftsight/V1R6.1/DraftSight64.exe
(note that the 64-bit version requires Windows 7 be set via winecfg)
Freeware (with optional paid features) but requires license activation to use
else it stops functioning after 30 days. Normally the user chooses to activate
the DraftSight free license when prompted at start-up, enters contact info into
a "Draftsight Activation" dialog, receives another dialog instructing them to
check their email for a confirmation message, then clicks a link in the
received email. DraftSight checks the server for license activation upon
subsequent executions.
However, upon submitting the contact info it aborts with an unhandled page
fault. Backtrace from Wine attached.
Installing WMI with winetricks (winetricks -q wmi) resolves the problem, but
only for the 32-bit version since it is using the Windows 9x version of WMI.
Note that due to a bug or license server problem the app often fails to send
the registration info even with the native Windows/OS X/Linux versions. This
is indicated by the lack of the "check email" dialog after submission is
attempted. Restarting and making another attempt is required and it can take a
dozen tries. The WMI crash happens before this dialog so the activation
problem does not affect it.

Summary: _wsopen_s does not respect the pmode parameter when
O_CREAT is set

When _wsopen_s is invoked to create a new file, the O_CREAT bit will be set in
the oflags parameter. The pmode parameter contains the mode for the file to be
created.
In Win32, only the S_IREAD and S_IWRITE bits in the mode matter, and Wine is
nice enough to alert with a FIXME when any bits other than these two are set.
But even when the bits meet the appropriateness criteria (no bits other than
S_IREAD and S_IWRITE), Wine still WARNs that the pmode will be ignored (when
O_CREAT is set). And indeed, nothing is done with the pmode parameter by the
rest of the routine.
It is very simple to implement the necessary support for pmode at O_CREAT time:
1. Apply the umask, which is stored in MSVCRT_umask, to the pmode to compute
the effective mode for this call to _wsopen_s.
2. Check to see if the S_IWRITE bit is missing from the effective mode.
If S_IWRITE is missing, then the "attrib" value (eventually passed on to
CreateFile) should start out as FILE_ATTRIBUTE_READONLY rather than
FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL. This will cause the created file to start off with the
+R bit set, as requested by the caller.

After wine upgrade I've noticed that when I e.g. drive a car and steer it
right, the sound from its engine abruptly switches to the right speaker, and
steering left switches the sound to left speaker. I'm not sure whether the full
sound is gone in such cases, but the switch is easily audible. This sounds
quite unpleasant and wasn't there with previous wine versions. Bisecting gives
me this commit:

Bug #: 28754
Summary: In comdl32/tests/itemdlg.ok, update_layout() uses
uninitialized window rect
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.30
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: comdlg32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
Classification: Unclassified
Running "make itemdlg.ok" in comdlg32/tests, valgrind complains
Conditional jump or move depends on uninitialised value(s)
at update_layout (itemdlg.c:1114)
by IFileDialog2_fnSetFileNameLabel (itemdlg.c:1968)

by func_itemdlg (itemdlg.c:714)
by run_test (test.h:556)
by main (test.h:624)
Uninitialised value was created by a stack allocation
at update_layout (itemdlg.c:1098)
and a cascade of uninitialized values ensues that would be hard to
write a suppression for. The uninitilialized value happens because
update_layout() calls GetClientRect on This->dlg_hwnd, which is NULL,
and doesn't check whether it succeeded.
The attached patch makes all the warnings go away, but I don't know if it's
the right thing to do.

In the game "Vanishing of Ethan Carter" the ground texture is missing.
This does not appear to be related to the GPU driver, tested with both an Intel
GPU and an Nvidia GPU.
Also reported by another user on the AppDB.

the source insight config file which can reproduce this issue.
I am using the source inside under wine,
if I set the background color to black, the cursor can not be displayed,
if I set the background color to white, the cursor can displayed properly,
I try it under windows:
if I set the BG to black, the cursor will display as white.
if I set the BG to wight, the cursor will displayed as black.
so I guess the wine can only simulate the cursor as black, so if set the BG to
black, the cursor can not be displayed.
if possible please fix this issue, with no cursor env, it's hard to coding.
please tell if this issue has been fixed in some version, or it can be fix if
adjust the config.
I don't want to change my SI black ground color.
Thanks.
