There are workarounds if you just care about the contents of the browser (e.g. you can use ie6's main window, and ie8's guts), but I don't know of a workaround for getting ie8's main window to work. By default wine takes 2 hours to compile. If I enable MAKEFLAGS="-j$(nproc)" in makepkg.conf - it won't compile at all. Is there any way to compile faster? I use Arch Linux. During the process, the installer shows slides with cars and I noticed that on Wine these slides have "stitches". I tried to install the game in a virtual machine with WindowsXP and it didn't have such artifacts. I am sorry that I could not provide logs. I tried, but I could not get the command right: It just output a blank text file. If you need a log, please provide the appropriate command to generate it.
