Bug #: 33733
Summary: Maximization of Word 2007 is broken on dual screen
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.31
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: user32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: b7.10110111(a)gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 44669
--> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=44669
Screenshot
See screenshot. When I set xfce4-panel on right screen, fixed position, and try
to maximize Word 2007 window on left screen, the window gets cropped just where
the panel ends in height. (under the window you can see LibreOffice window,
which works correctly).
If I kill xfce4-panel and restart Word, it maximizes correctly.

Backtrace
There is an error when the game starts and a choice to close the application or
not. If not, then the main menu shows up. You can start a new game and it works
fine (i think - i didn't test it much). If choose to "See intro" or "See intro
help video" same error happens. After several repetitions game crashes.
Closing after the first error gave me attached backtrace.
I've tried staging too with similar result. Backtraces slightly different.

Graphical error message and wine stack trace
Hello,
this is my first bugreport here, so please don't be too judgemental.
I tried to install the standalone version of the free to play game “Nosgoth”,
which fails. The game is downloadable at nosgoth.com after registration. The
page doesn't accept Linux user agents, so switch it to something with windows.
The new version is standalone from Steam. So it might be easier to make it
runnable.
The installation fails with an error message. I attached it together with the
stack trace from wine.
Please help me how to find the reason of the fail, probably my bug report is
way too general.
Regards,
Matthias

1. Installed the v.1.0.32 sane packages (64bit) from here:
https://launchpad.net/~sane-project/+archive/ubuntu/sane-release/+packages
2. packages i386 from above can not be installed to 64 bit systems.
3. Update to wine stable 7 failed.
After a lot of search, discovered that wine attempts to install the
libsane1:i386 package, from the above ppa, which fails.
4. Disabled the Sane PPA. Started install again, wine attempted to install the
libsane:i386 form the Ubuntu repository. This is older, so conflicts with
libsane-common 1.0.32 -installation failed.
can be removed the libsane:i386 dependency from wine?
(the old libsane provided by Ubuntu does not support the actual scanners, even
it is a few year old.)

Is there any reason there could not be more options available in the windows
version dropdown in WOW64 builds?
Since WOW64 has the 32bit binaries available, I cant imagine it is impossible
or difficult to limit 64bit applications if the windows version were set below
XP.
If I am not mistaken windows (64bit) has the option for compatibility down to
windows 2000

iTunes scrolling issue (v12.4.3)

0114:fixme:win:LockWindowUpdate (00000000), partial stub!
These two lines are repeating as long as you are scrolling.
I understand that this bug is not a priority as it is only a quality of life
improvement, it is just annoying.

good looking icons in wine-1.4.1
Nanocad 5.0 works ok with wine 1.4.1, but in wine 1.9.0.37 icons on toolbars
have black background. Screenshots are attached.
I bisected the problem. The first bad commit is:
[ b81a7d976e3c3de36a01401d125871d3014e6c67 ]
gdi32: Always use the DIB engine for monochrome bitmap rendering.
Nanocad 5.0 is free and can be downloaded here:
ftp://ftp.nanocad.com/nanocad/nanoCAD50(2000).ZIP
or here
http://nanocad.com/page/DownloadNanoCAD
It can be used without registration/activation in Demo mode. This is enough to
reproduce the bug.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Unpack zip archive into ~/nanocad5
2. Install prerequirements
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine/wine-test ./wine
~/nanocad5/PreReq/vcredist_x86.exe
3. Install nanoCad
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine/wine-test ./wine msiexec /i
~/nanocad5/nanoCAD.msi
4. Install nanoCad
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine/wine-test ./wine msiexec /i
~/nanocad5/nanoCAD.msi
5. Run nanoCad. Select Demo mode.
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine/wine-test ./wine
~/.wine/wine-test/drive_c/Program\ Files/Nanosoft/nanoCAD\ en\ 5.0/nCad.exe
6. See icons with black background on toolbars

I encountered this after logging in and entering the world, specifically the
tutorial world. That still probably isn't enough to reliably reproduce, but oh
well.
We try to clear a 3D texture, but mistakenly interpret the layer_count
parameter as a layer count, when we should be interpreting it as depth. I've
sent a patch.
