--- Comment #13 from Amaroq coolsteve64@yahoo.com 2008-06-28 13:51:33 --- Ah, sorry. Here, I've uploaded a .rar containing my current game files. http://amaroq.org/MONSTER.rar
I've also had a few insights that have lead me to believe that this is a video issue, not a sound issue.
For one, my box had the same problem on my windows partition as it did on wine. The splash screen stayed.
I have a more powerful computer now, and this game does work for me now on windows. I haven't tried it under wine yet, and in fact, I'm still working on getting dri on my gentoo installation, so I probably won't be able to try.
I have a screen capture program called hypercam, and it is able to disable acceleration before it begins recording, and re-enable it after recording is finished. I tested this once, and the results were interesting.
While in game, I began recording. The game reverted to its splash screen when acceleration was disabled. When acceleration was enabled again, the splash screen went away and I was back in the game exactly where I left off.
Here is a google-translated list of requirements for the game to run. These are probably for the full version of the game. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the one I have is the trial. http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://mem...
