This makes both GRAW1 and GRAW2 render the scenery correctly. The reported problem still occurs with ao=disabled. Could it be considered "fixed"?
Probably, there are a few bugs that are hard or impossible to fix without AlwaysOffscreen, and the long term plan is for ao=disabled to go away, although it might still take a good while before that actually happens. (I'm guessing sometime post-1.6.)
