It could be, but looks unlikely. I copied an install from windows, same problem.
Looking at the terminal output, I tried native wininet (doubtful, but worth a shot). One of the UUID's complained about was dxtrans.dll (http://mikolajapp.appspot.com/uuid/query?q=81397204-f51a-4571-8d7b-dc030521a...) which I tried a native version of (and in turn, requires native iertutil.dll), but still no luck.
There are several: fixme:seh:_abnormal_termination (void)stub fixme:seh:_abnormal_termination (void)stub
which look more likely to blame.
