--- Comment #6 from Marc-Olivier Barre marco@marcochapeau.org 2009-07-05 09:01:16 --- Ok I did more tests, and I did manage to prevent it from crashing by setting all the graphics options to the lowest, and running the game inside a desktop. This sounds obviously different from what Alex reported.
@Alex: do you run the game in a desktop ?
Then I turned the settings back on step by step to see if I could isolate the one that causes the issue. so far so good, everything is active except 3 of them:
- Bloom is set to none (there's a bug somewhere with this options... I get crappy lights, and upside down picture, bug no crash)
- HDR is off. - Shadows are off.
I'm going to stay a little while like that, then I'll try HDR and shadows again to see if it affects stability.
If all is fine even with shadows and HDR, then it might be related to the fact that the app doesn't run in a desktop: similar to the Alt+Tab issue, even when you don't press Alt+Tab.
oh, and btw, getting some useful logs is not that easy. I sometimes get a crash right after character selection if I turn on debug logging.
