On low resolutions+windowed mode the tab key works for me: Works on: 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768. (all windowed) Crash on 1280x1024 (windowed). Crash on 2048x1152 (fullscreen), 1920x1080 (windowed)
Well, something is rather interesting: I tried 1024x768 (windowed) and it worked, tried 1280x1024 (also windowed) and it also worked ... until I switched to a different map! Maybe a particular user icon? In which case the resolution changing is a red herring...

Does it still work with older Wine version(s)?
Can you suggest particular versions to try? Certainly the .36 to .37 upgrade made no difference, and the problem is new with the Valve update -- so it's not, on the face of it, a regression as such.
By the way, the Shift-Tab key (don't know what that is bound to) always crashed TF2 for me, at least in the last several months.
