Thanks for looking into this!

I confirm your observation for the 2018 version that with native
gdiplus the screen preview in demo mode looks better.

Unfortunately I have thrown away the license key for the 2018 version
so I cannot create the pdf anymore to check its quality.

I tried to check with the current (2022) version but this gives an
exception soon after start and so I am currently unable to verify whether
pdf creation with native gdiplus will work.
