--- Comment #4 from Dawid Hanak nugrud@gmail.com 2009-05-05 02:42:40 --- I'm not sure if we use the same edition, I have the most recent "SAGA Baldur's Gate 1DVD eXtra Klasyka Gier Komputerowych Gold" with Sarevok on front cover and some mods on DVD, and Baldur.exe launcher (startup menu? md5: c6e0765300c3e9410c8be3ed2ac5397c) uses this graphics:

But I tend to start the game running BGMain2.exe directly (md5: e9c5b0853fffb9122f210dce18da0253)
And so yesterday I started new game, joined Imoen, Xzar and Montaron. Went to Beregost and tried to enter dozens of homes and inns and I couldn't reproduce your wine crash.
I still have a 6CD edition in my collection, and I could have replaced dvd BGMain2.exe with the cd one if I was trying widescreen mod (as described here: http://bg2.gram.pl/index.php?file=article&id=410), I surely did it in bg2, but I'm not really sure if I used the mod in bg1 directory because I still have it in 640x480 resolution. Or just tell me the your result of 'md5sum BGMain2.exe' command. Mine is:
