--- Comment #27 from lle llenort@aol.com --- Hi,
please try to uninstall the vc runtime versions and reinstall the versions with the ones that came with the game:
...Battlefield 1/__Installer/vc/vc2013/redist/vcredist_x64.exe ...Battlefield 3/__Installer/vc/vc2008sp1/redist/vcredist_x64.exe ...Battlefield 4/__Installer/vc/vc2012Update3/redist/vcredist_x64.exe
I install the 32bit versions too but i'm sure this isn't necessary :-)
Please make sure to uninstall the old ones. The repair action only make a simple check of the game file content. The Repair will not reintstall and maybe some setup files will be missing on your wine prefix profile.
When this not help, please try to make a 'fake' reinstall of the game:
- quit origin - move/rename the game install directory - start origin - go to inventory and install game - wait some seconds (the initial install/download files will be created in the new install folder. - quit Origin over the file menu - move the complete game content of the old Install directory in the new install folder. Override any existing files. - start origin, download continues, wait until origin end the download - quit origin - start wine (winefile, explorer) and change to the _-installer/vc/.. and install the x64 runtime - quit wine and make sure all wine processes ends (wineserver -k) - try to start wine/origin and the game
All the Best lle
