This is still an issue with wine-1.1.9 But there is a small workaround for this problem (the bfme2 expansion pack only!). Apply patch 1.06 to bfme2 and patch 2.01 to bfme2 addon and get the edain 3 mod (http://modding-union.com/?lang=de&path=dledain2&file=edain2mod#kopf). Copy all *.big files to the addon folder and the asset.dat to the bfme2 game folder and overwrite it. I did not experience the graphic glitches any longer. I'm still trying to figure out the source of the problem.
I got around this problem simply by turning off GLSL using Winetricks "disableGLSL". Performance is normal, and I'm having no stablility issues. Everything is truned all the way up graphics-wise in the game (even the shader setting) and it looks great. This is with Wine 1.1.42. This is obviously some kind of GLSL shader problem with Wine, with values either being returned all-white or all-black on some texures. Without GLSL disabled the problem diminishes as you turn down the shader setting from high to medium to low (but there's no "off" setting in the game, drat!). The same problem happens with some terrain in the game as well.
Florian, I was wondering how you got your Edain workaround to work however, since a NO-CD crack is needed to run the game on Wine, but the Edain mod doesn't support no-cd cracks (crashed and burned myself).
Thanks
