Hi, with the following workaround i got at least the trial starting:
Start with clean ~/.wine
Do 'wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks msxml3 dotnet20'
(Though Autocad2006 claims it needs .net 1.1, you get a crash updating a hotfix in the installer; so don't install .net 1.1, but do .net 2.0, that is enough to make the installer happy)
- Start the installer, and choos custom install, and deselect "VBA" otherwise
the installer will crash later on.
Could you try if this works for you too? Then we could add downloadlink for the trial
Unfortunately AutoCAD 2006 Retail Polish still fails on the .net 1.1 SP1 installation, even with dotnet20 installed. Installing dotnet20 or/and dotnet11 via winetricks does not make the installer happy. I've reported a separate bug, specifically about .net 1.1 SP1 here #13995 .
Dotnet 1.1 doesn't work for sure, but I could manage to install 2006 with dotnet 2.0. It crashes when run, indeed. No luck with 2007, which has a different bug, but 2008 can be installed and runs to some extents.

BTW.... try to do it on a CLEAN wine prefix, some native dlls brings problems. I do use 2005 on a ~/.wine-acad prefix, with just the needed stuffs.
