So I did, then follow the remaining instructions for compiling (actually, adding the first two "optionals" to the normal procedure), and the errors are gone. But the problem isn't. FileMaker still can't find local servers.
Okay, so it isn't a dup.
I understand how seldom one would have a remote database... Is there any test I can do or log I can grab, etc., that would help?
Time to dust off your magical debugging skills :) You might try getting a wireshark capture of a Windows system doing the same thing, then a Wine one, and see what the difference is. In other words, what protocol is Filemaker using to find the other servers? Then try to guess where that should be happening in Wine, or ask here.
