Sorry about my late response. The battery on my DS4 controller is too old and
can’t hold a charge, so I’m using the controller via USB. However, I don’t
think that matters now.

I cherry-picked c708295ed6de3eca5a5406ed886904fd5c398053 (and related commits)
onto the Wine package in nixpkgs and built it. I can confirm it does resolve
the problem. Thank you!
