[Bug 18496] BREW simulator always shows a black display

I logged out and logged back in using Unity2D. (ps ax shows no compiz). It made
no difference.

I have noticed that the BREW Simulator gives a black display under Windows with
a few device packs - switching to a different device pack (including the
default one) fixes this. Also if I set my application to start automatically,
it will start regardless of device pack. I have to start my app manually at
least once before I can ever start it automatically though - and there is
currently no way to do this running under Wine, as the icon for my application
(or any other application) is not displayed.
