Thanks for your feedback. I'm following the steps in the URL.
I don't understand how to find out the version of Wine which introduced the error. With the "biscect" part you have to know the "bad" and the "good" version.
Your initial comment said it's been 'broken for a couple of new versions of Wine'. What was the last version of Wine that you used that worked?
The tutorial mention to use the binaries. I normally use Ubuntu package manager. Can i installer a earlier version of wine via the package manager?

Or, I've compiled the latest version from git. Can i get, let's say, version wine-1.3.20, and only compile the differences?
