Thanks for the patch, but I might have to wait to test it until I can use a native Linux installation. It has occurred to me that since I'm now doing most of my Linux development in VirtualBox, I'm probably running into a different error in Direct3D 9 initialization. If I recall correctly, before, my code was exiting gracefully in response to the error it was encountering. Now it's generating this GLXBadCurrentWindow weirdness, even with the patch from Comment 1.
If the patch in attachment 41090 helps on a native installation, it looks like I might have to create a separate bug report for this other issue. I'll get back to you. Thanks again to all of you.
