That's expected, ~/.wine contains all the programs you have installed.
That answers your question.
Run "wineserver -k" "pgrep wine" should report no tasks running. Restore the ~/.wine Run winecfg
Does winecfg still fail to run?
Before claiming developers are ignorant, stop being ignorant yourself: "Please do not PASTE logs and back traces (attach them instead)."
This bug also needs to be attached to the relevant app in the AppDB.
And don't run winedbg unless you have been asked to.
