The difference in performance is pretty significant and the fix seems easy, but yet this isn't being done.
Alexandre, could you or someone else maybe explain technically under what circumstances the ClientSideGraphics=Y option could degrade the rendering performance? Apparently this was not anticipated when ClientSideGraphics were first implemented in WINE. With some hints, maybe I can write a graphical test app (fps benchmark) to isolate the problem.
And furthermore, why not simply turn ClientSideGraphics off all the time? Are there any clearly measurable benefits to having it turned on? Could it be that ClientSideGraphics=Y causes more problems than it solves... ? The pros and cons of this option are not clear to me, sorry.
My question for Christian Collins is: What OS version was Mixcraft originally designed to run on? And what issues are you encountering if you try to run Mixcraft on Windows 7 or Windows 10?
