I just wanted to say that, as stated in my duplicate of this issue, this occurs even on Mint 20.x and Mint 21.x and therefore presumably *buntu 20.04 and *buntu 22.04.
Will probably be for the whole debian family i guess..
Nevertheless, building both wine-10.2 and wine-staging-10.2 OMITTING the --libdir statement altogether seems to do the trick, and everything is in the /lib folder.
Or.. i suppose just using --libdir=${prefix}/lib for both the 32 and 64 bit compile.
Since i was not the only one missing this showstopping change, I don't feel too bad :)
