Clearly, launching from a shellscript wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Microsoft\ Office/OFFICE11/WORDVIEW.EXE $1 ($1 being the document to open) wouldn't work. The viewer starts but doesn't show anything. You have to start, instead : wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Microsoft\ Office/OFFICE11/WORDVIEW.EXE "Z:"$@ THE trick is to insert "Z:" before the command-line arguments.
Now for KDE : just asssign vnd.ms-word mimetype to wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Microsoft\ Office/OFFICE11/WORDVIEW.EXE "Z:"%U
