OK. Then you got it right. I missread the year 2022 (I thought it was 2023) for
the update you labelled as a bad commit. I didn't know about the unstable
releases, as I am not a subscriber of that channel. I was only on the stable
one.

So it was alresy there, waiting to pop-up in the stable channel, right with the
8.0 release. That makes sense.
