The default engine setting for the game is engine 2, which is DirectX 9.0. The
setting I am using is engine 0, because it provides slightly more hopeful
results. Run the game with the line "wine Tibia.exe engine 0".

The game used to work in very old versions of wine last year, but some major
change in the d3d system caused a regression which has been present since.

I have a rather generic and useless Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller. Nevertheless, the game worked a very long time
ago. Wine version 1.1.3 provided some good progress, as the game was much worse
prior.
