A heroes/battle.net patch shortly before or after release rendered the 64bit client useless, it wouldn't start anymore. So ever since one had to use the 32bit client. Now with wine-staging 1.9.0 (haven't tried previous versions anymore tho) trying to start the heroes 64bit client with the game on higher graphics settings starts the client but results in a black screen freeze; starting the 64bit client with graphics settings set to low now actually works. Resetting the graphics settings in-game in the 64bit client has the client freeze, just like in sc2.
I don't mean to distract whoever is working on this sc2 bug and I certainly don't try to dig for support for heroes in this (at this point) sc2 bug. Just saying you might get two for one if you figure this one out!
