[Bug 10775] Regression since 0.9.47 until 0.9.51: software crashes upon start

The software's name is absolutely irrelevant and useless anyway, it is a very
old French dictionary that probably noone here ever heard of. It is called Le
Grand Robert, but I could name it gzgh71 or dvt244bd3: it won't help anyone to
solve that bug unless bug solving now involves voodoo incantations.
I will do the regression testing today or tomorrow if you swear on my life that
the backtrace is useless.
