The game allocates all your video ram, one megabyte at a time, then thinks for a few seconds and crashes. Happens with either http://content.deepsilver.com/kochmedia/downloads/7million/de-uk/7Million_0_... or http://content.deepsilver.com/kochmedia/downloads/7million/de-uk/7Million_0_...
(The beta was said to work well in wine, so perhaps they've added hackshield or something that wine doesn't support?)
