Another somewhat interesting note: there is an English version on the game used
as the testcase (though I've only seen 1.00, not 1.01 - probably it's an
unofficial translation).

Obviously, it couldn't demonstrate problem 1, so I didn't use it, but even that
one shows problem 2.

But the interesting parts is that the corruption there is not only seen on the
title screen, but while consistent, it differs between different LANG values.
