R710 class chip with the r600g driver (I know it worked with a r300g-powered
setup (older Wine version and on a i386 system) way back, but I can't test that

No, but the demo doesn't have the videos in front of the loading screen, so the
critical part is missing.

Obviously hardware accelerated (I think I never used software acceleration).
