I'd like to clarify that having the right code page means that Linux locale must be set correctly, i.e. be japanese/chinese/korean and not say en_US.UTF-8.
Wine bugzilla has plenty of samples how to correctly setup font links for CJK locales, it would be great if someone would add that info to the wiki.
My system is set to zh_CN.UTF8, not english. My opinion put on the table for discussion is that even font-link is a proper way, it is still worth to add such a switch/patch, because work out of the box is very important user experience, very few user who want to try linux will read the wiki. (meaning, if we could make wine to do the font-link automatically, then this patch may not be needed at all...)
Sorry that I would like to mention again that A LOT of info about font-link for wine could be found on google, most are either outdated/incorrect or so complex that an experienced user like me (although I am not a linux developer) will overlook some important info or do something wrong and eventually fails. -- anyway wiki info tends to get out of date as wine is going forward rapidly...
I will search for official information about font-link on the wine site, to see if I can succeed with it...
