When purchasing Naturally Speaking on the internet, as of Version 13 the actual file does not download, just a file that serves as a portal to download the "real" installation file.
I purchased the software and assumed the downloaded file was the installation file, and tried to install it on Linux using wine, which did not work, so I filed this bug.
Here's what the story really is.
The downloaded file has to be loaded onto a Windows machine. When run, it performs its only function, which is to download the "real" NatSpeak installation file.
(There is nothing on the Nuance website to indicate this.)
So this bug was filed against the "portal" file.
Whoops.
When the "real" file is copied to a linux machine, installation completes successfully, ever though the product does not run.
