--- Comment #8 from Omar gamingpakker+wine@gmail.com --- I checked in Windows again and I suddenly realized that on Windows the menu entries for the controllers are actually named differently; Joypad instead of Joystick.
Based on this hereby a short list aggregating the differences in behaviour I see between Windows and Wine.
On Windows: - The controllers get entries labeled Joypad 0..3 - Each controller maps to the proper menu entry - The controller buttons/controls are mapped by default - The controllers function normally in the game menus (e.g. skipping intro logo's, pressing start, navigating, etc)
On WINE: - The controllers get entries labeled Joystick 0..3 - Each controller is mapped to the last Joystick menu entry - The controller buttons/controls require manual mapping/assignment - The controllers can not be used in the game menus
