You are trained to use F1" in your Terminal-Emulator (Name / Version ?) as a shortcut for Cancel, and expect that every Linux Program (including Wine) should ignore the F1 key?
That is not possible for Wine. F1 must be handled the same way as all other keys: We must send it to the Windows Application. Most Windows Applications expect working Function Keys.
Or do you have an Application, that you want to use in Wine and where F1 does not work as in Windows? Please give us a detailed Description of the Problem with the Name, Version, Download-URL and AppDB-Entry for the Application.
Thanks

The application uses F1 to cancel (some windows programs use F1 for stuff other than help), however wine currently hard codes F1 to winhelp (there was a patch for this a while back, but I don't think it was accepted, IIRC).
