I cannot reproduce this being a problem related to the crack used. I tried both
no-cds you mentioned without noticing -any- difference at all in game-play
(including the speed bugs etc).

I did notice, however, that the torches etc looks normal most of the time with
current git (1.1.44). I'm not entirely sure the issue is fixed completely (I
will need to play the game more to be sure, but I can only do that when a few
other bugs has been fixed).
