--- Comment #2 from Dan bentron.winehq@gmail.com 2009-05-16 10:22:50 --- I'm not sure what exactly triggers this bug, but as I said it doesn't present after the client is first started; it crops up seemingly randomly after that.
Zoning, clicking focus to another window, and alt+tabbing to another window don't seem to cause it either. Not immediately anyway. I don't think it's a focus issue since it still occurs in a separate X session.
I normally run the game in a virtual desktop of 1920x1200 on a dual screen setup (1680x1050 left of 1920x1200 using nvidia's twinview), but I've also tried running the game in its own X session (no window manager at all, no twinview) with an xorg.conf that enables only the 1920x1200 monitor.
Wine is from the winehq repository. I only bought the game and started playing about a week ago, so I've no idea if this is a regression or not.
The bug I referred to in the description is the only remotely similar problem I've come across in my search for this bug.
I very vaguely recall having a problem like this years ago playing a different game (probably WoW or EQ2). It was a different computer, and I don't remember how (or even if) I solved it back then.
Linux distribution: Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ RAM: 2GB Video card: nVidia GeForce 8800GT Driver: nvidia-glx-180 (version 180.44 found in ubuntu's repos)
If there's any other info I can provide, or if I need to clarify the problem, just let me know.
