i have reported this patch to the wined3d devs. stefand had the implementation
of intz in his todo list. he says tests are needed to verify the patch
validity, but he doesn't know when he can tackle this.
if the author of the patch has the knowledge to do so he can talk to stefand
for some hints and create a good patch.

it's very good to know the cause of the problem in the first place.
