[Bug 17056] Team Fortress 2 launched from within steam loads, but crashes when launching any map

Same problem here:

- Kubuntu 8.10 64-bit
- Nvidia geforce 8800GT 512MB
- Driver Versions:  180.44, 180.41, 180.37

- Tried with Wine 1.01 and also Codeweaver's crossover games (has been reported
to them as well)

- Tried a fresh install of game and OS, no change

- Tried changing different audio settings in winecfg, either audio doesn't
work, or game crashes.

- CS: Source works fine

Note:  Music does play in the load screen, its only while connecting to a
server (or hosting your own) that it crashes with the mentioned error
