I have news for the demo not working. It is a problem with pixel format not
recognized.

With a player.ini created in the game folder
if I use 800 600 32 1 BaseCMO.cmo  it works
if I use 800 600 16 1 BaseCMO.cmo  it does not work

800 is width 600 height 1 is fullscreen and 16 (or 32) is depth format.

You can change values 800 and 600. It does not matter.
