since you got it to work, Can you tell me how you put together your prefix?
What winetricks verbs did you install? Are you using any dll overrides?
Did you manually apply Kimmos patch?

I installed wine-4.0-rc5 (staging) using the winehq-staging package.

For winetricks I'm using corefonts, d3dx11_43, and vcrun2017, though I'm not
sure that and of them are required.

I did not have to manual apply any patches or build anything from source.
