------- Additional Comments From lhouk@lesliehouk.com 2006-25-09 13:55 ------- Just tried running MOO2 under Wine 0.9.21, and it still hangs.
I did notice one additional symptom, though. When a user does a Ctrl-Alt-Del, Fedora brings up a window that allows the user to reboot the system, log out, or cancel. When MOO2 under Wine hangs, if I do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and then just cancel and go back to MOO2, the game cursor will usually jump ahead to where it was supposed to be, catching up to the system cursor. Further, if I had clicked on a button with the system cursor during the hang, MOO2 would often process the click, and the game would respond to the click. Of course, as soon as I move the mouse again, it hangs again.
Does this seem to indicate some sort of race condition that is being interrupted when I do Ctrl-Alt-Del? Is that something that can be checked or diagnosed somehow? Thanks in advance to all who respond.
