Just from examining the log attached in comment 4, it doesn't seem particularly
likely that the problem is directly related to the Wine audio stack; the
crashing thread doesn't seem to be doing anything related to audio near the
time of the crash.

While Wine does have a TTS library (sapi), the library isn't loaded at the time
of the crash. The application might be expecting something in e.g. the
registry, though it's not particularly likely. Installing native sapi (through
e.g. `winetricks -q speechsdk`) would help confirm this.

The actual cause of the bug may be quite difficult to determine.
