--- Comment #3 from arsthaumaturgis@yahoo.co.uk 2012-10-24 11:28:05 CDT --- My apologies for the delay: I realised that I wasn't confident that the "Glasen" driver was, in fact, being used, and have been trying to determine that, thus far without success.
Since my thread on the Ubuntu forum has gone unanswered, would you please tell me how I might check that the correct driver is being used? I've tried a few things, including the "System Profiler and Benchmark" tool, which reports the kernel for the VGA controller as "i915". I apologise for the derailment of this, but I really am having a frustrating time trying to find the information in question. :/
I believe that I now have the 2.2 version installed on my Ubuntu 12.04 installation; there doesn't seem to be a binary of the version for Ubuntu 11.10. I'm happy to switch out to 12.04 for gaming, if called for, I believe.
As to the debug trace, I hope that I've achieved that correctly; I believe that I have the debug package installed, exported "WINEDEBUG=warn+all" and then ran the game through wine (not winedbg), I believe. I should have done otherwise, please correct me. ^^;
