Clean wineprefix: $ mv ~/.wine ~/.wine.bak
Regression test: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting
Yes, I tried it under Lucid 64bit in 1.2 and have no problem.
The gameplay is fine - but the APPEARANCE is bad and wrong. The thing you control with your mouse and the falling bonus items are the wrong colours.
I done what you said, assuming you meant go into the terminal and perform this: mv ~/.wine ~/.wine.bak The next time I opened the BALISTIC.EXE game with Wine (after performing the step above), I got a message about Wine configuration being updated, before the game opened.
Tried the game again, the appearance is still wrong but the gameplay is fine, albeit much harder to see the "paddle" you control and other things in the gameplay.
The regression test looks scary and complicated as I'm still a newbie to Linux. I don't understand the regression testing page. Sorry, I can't help much more, other than describing the problem.
It's nice being able to use Linux and Wine and be able to run these 16-bit games that Microsoft won't allow you to run on 64-bit Windows, I appreciate the amount of work that goes into Wine. :)
