[Bug 23602] Steam interface gradually gets slower

I'll try to do some regression testing when I have time to do it, I've never
done one before.

Once thing I've noticed now is that I had set Wine to "Windows 7" mode, but
when run under XP mode Steam runs the same as always (like in previous versions
of Wine).

So whatever this is, it's either something to do with Steam changing something
when it detects what version of Windows it's running on (likely, could be
webkit?) or it's something that Wine is doing when changing modes.
