If needed, I can try to put a few hours into this over the weekend, but I'm not really experienced in building something as complex as Wine.
Specifically, apt build-dep seems not to be getting all the needed dependencies, so I tried to add them all by hand. Unfortunately make still fails (unknown type names from one of the dependencies, I'm guessing). I did all of this in a VM, and I did successfully apply the patch, along with Wine-staging to the 4.2 sources, so if someone wanted to give me a detailed how-to on going from clean Ubuntu 18.04 to compiling Wine, I'd be willing to try again to build this.
On the other hand, if someone else can test this patch more easily than I, that would be fantastic.
