This started happening again with nvidia drivers later than 495.44.

These drivers are problematic in other regards as well (for example:
https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/x-server-1-21-1-1-crash-on-startx-with...)

Now I'm willing to believe that this is actually nvidia's fault somewhat, but
it is still worth a look from the Wine dev team, since only Wine programs
trigger this kind of behavior.

[Nvidia f*ck*ng s*cks, it's all so tiresome. Sorry for the rant.]

So, to summarize:
- 495.44 works;
- 495.46 and later: this bug happens.
