Can anyone confirm this happens while playing online only? Does disabling sRGB sampling (http://bugs2.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18409) make any difference? Is it possible to reproduce this with a timedemo?
Confirmed. I recorded demos until I caught the bug, replayed and the cpu load/ framerate death happens again at the exact same point when the demo is replayed offline.
