In my case works and many titles work too however some dont work in new wow64 for now
I use this:
./configure --without-wayland --enable-archs=i386,x86_64
wayland wine still wip however personally maybe can change for ubuntu 26.04
and --enable-win64 is dont needed in my case too
Can you tell me about some 32bit games that work in experimental wow64 mode for you? I'd like to see what it's capable of on a 64bit-only system.
i have testing this mode some time ago* with xubuntu 24.04 x64 when you have wine in this mode only give wine binary (on wine-staging produce wine64 binary)
*around since wine 9.4 when wine add: VK_EXT_map_memory_placed (this solve a huge problem related stability (more notorious in 32bit apps), actually suddenly crashes in most cases are solved in my case)
for test apps i use this command for launch appetizer (program for launch apps)
DXVK_HUD=devinfo,fps,version,api DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 DXVK_LOG_LEVEL=none DXVK_CONFIG_FILE=/home/linuxdesktopx64/dxvk.conf WINEDEBUG=-all wine appetizer.exe
here show some gameplay videos with this (videos uploaded since around may 15 of this year):
