A free trial version of Arcview 9.1 is available on request,
but you have to wait a couple weeks for them to mail
you the cd-rom.
The installer runs to completion, but the result is not happy.

Before starting the installer, you should install the Visual C++ 6
runtimes, and set the registry key to indicate that IE 6 is installed
(see http://kegel.com/wine/fakeie.sh.txt).

A few highlights from the log:
err:module:import_dll Library MFC42u.DLL (which is needed by L"C:\Program
Files\ArcGIS\Bin\afui.dll") not found
wine: Call from 0x7ee9db60 to unimplemented function
atl.dll.AtlModuleAddCreateWndData, aborting
Could not load 'KEYBOARD.DLL' required by 'UNWISE', error=2

It dumps a lot of files into c:, and it dumps a lot of files into
c:\Progra~1 !

There's plenty to keep somebody busy here for a week, I bet.
